Votokīshai
Dīyal sat his son down. "Badnīl, you know that with your marriage to Shania we hope you can unite the tribes." "Of course, tovaush." "To do so, you must be able to demonstrate your leadership. While you are quite capable of this on your own, as I've seen time and again, I have something that will help." Dīyal turned and lifted an ornate box from beneath his chair. He carefully opened the box, revealing a two foot long rod of a golden metal, ornately carved, with magic runes along the length. It was topped with a large pinkish crystal that seemed to have a faint glow. The Votokīshai /voʊtoʊˈkiːʃaɪ/, or staff of leadership, is a magical rod or wand passed from generation to generation through the line of Badnīl Qau, ending up in his hands for most of his life. Its origins are lost to time. The staff is currently located in a vault in Īyonī.
