Peter Jason Quill (a.k.a. Star Lord)
At the start of the series, Peter is 11 and just received his own ship from Yondu.
In the late 1990s, he will meet the remaining family of Woodrow McCord and will help them settle somewhere new. In the early 2000s, he will meet Carol Danvers who has a message for him from Tony Stark, given to her in 1995. It will lead him to confronting Yondu about his father and earn a partial truth. This will also be when he hears about the Orb - cue GotG1 happening. tie in Nebula's slight change in behavior and Gamora leaving early. Maybe save Drax's daughter?
He also meets Christopher Summers and learn that they are half brothers.

Durable witha healing factor and minor immortality form his father, With enough prodding he can draw on celestial abilities and perform molecular manipulation, similarly he can access cosmic energy and is the holder of the Power Stone

Personal history
Born to his mother Meredith Quill in Missouri after Ego impregnated her. In 1988, he was kidnapped by the Ravagers to take to his father, who had just placed cancer in his mother's head. Ego wanted a second of his species to complete the Expansion, a proces to terraform the galaxy into an extension of Ego himself. Ego had attempted a human option years earlier in Christopher Summers but he was not recovered. He and his wife were kidnapped later the same year Peter was taken.
Peter was taken with only his back pack, including a tape of songs from his mother for his 8th birthday. Yondu Udonta, leader of the Ravager decided to keep Peter and raised him. They were a band of intergalatic thieves. This particular group had been kicked out of hte whole for pursuing crimes involving kids(Ego's revious kidnapping targets). When they learned of what Ego actually did with his own children, they ran taking Peter with them. They taught him to fight and steal, threatening to eat him if he didn't cooperate. When Peter was 10, Yondu gave him an M-ship that Peter named the Milano.
