The Gluttonous Horror
The hunger of
Asar Sinma can never be sated, a fact well represented in his most horrific creation. This horror is a blight that seeks to consume all life and spawn broods of ravenous demons to overrun the world. These abominations must be stopped at all costs, for the Sinma Gravemind could spell doom for all.
Appearance
The few accounts with this horrific demon all share similar descriptions. They describe it as a large scally creature with three heads, a long body and a whip-like tail, and two short forelimbs used for walking. The Sinma Gravemind has poor mobility because of its small legs and heavy frame that drags along the ground. This fact does little to lessen the danger of this creature, for its three crushing maws can tear any prey apart. The central head acts as the main brain of the demon and should be the target of anyone wishing to kill this wretched creature.
Lifecycle
The Sinma Gravemind is a unique demon for when it is conjured by a mortal it is dormant inside an egg as hard as iron. To awaken the demon, the summoner must place the egg within a freshly killed body. Once awaken, the hungry demon will feast on the decaying flesh while also using the corpse as shelter. As it does this, the spell used to summon the Gravemind will begin to take control of the conjurer, compelling them to supply the demon with more flesh to sustain itself. The monster will grow larger with the more flesh it consumes and will pile the rotting bodies around it to protect it.
Once the demon has reached a specific size, the Gravemind will begin releasing spores into the air. These spores will glide in the air until they are breathed with organic lifeforms. Once they are breathed in, the spores will seep into the brain and attempt to take control of the infected organism. Sentient life like humans and elves are unaffected by these spores, but most animals will be sent into a frenzy and attack anything they see. The infected organism will be in this frenzied state for around two days, spreading more spores in its rampage, spreading the infection further. After two days, the infected animal will end its rampage and mindlessly travel to where the Gravemind rests. Once the animal reaches the Gravemind, it will stand there motionlessly, waiting for the demon to rip it apart and add whatever remains to its ever-growing pile of gore and rotting flesh.
Upon reaching its spawning phase, the Sinma Gravemind will begin to create eggs that it will plant within the surrounding rotting corpses. The decomposing carcasses will protect the eggs until they are ready to hatch new
Qurserta and
Spine Coiler demons. Once born, these newly hatched demons are at the command of the Sinma Gravemind, prepared to serve their purpose of consuming the weak and harvesting their souls for their lord Asar Sinma. The conjurer will be rewarded for their part in this heinous spawning by being consumed by the horde.
