Alinfae

The alinfae are a mythical group of divine beings said to be the offspring of the goddess Viola and the god Ostrapath. There are twenty one alinfae, and their purpose is to guide righteous souls to the lands of the dead.

Portrayal

The alinfae are, in the Ereman Faith of the Light, shown to take the appearance of young teenage girls wearing white dresses. Usually they are blonde and have pale skin with purple eyes. Always they are shown to be kind, helpful, and virtuous, performing their tasks dutifully and with compassion.

Variation

In areas of Tembra, the alinfae are said to be more malicious, forcing souls to depart Blivera. This is against what is taught in Eremere, where the alinfae act simply as guides for souls already departed. In these variations, the spirits take the forms of older girls and sometimes even possess red eyes.
