Egrarion the Terrible
Egrarion was a mighty red dragon in the 1st millenium BTD who issued the Prophecy of the Dawn in 500 BTD. Following the decline of the dragons, when many of his kin migrated over the Wastes of Kiros, he remained in Tembra, making the largely uninhabited badlands north of Valysera his home. While not the last living dragon, Egrarion was the last dragon of considerable might, whose name sparked fear in kings and serfs alike.

Personal history
Egrarion's birth, like most dragons, was not recorded at the time, and the nature of his parentage is vaguely recalled even by the dragon himself. His father was reported to be a handsome dragon of considerable size, though he was surpassed by Egrarion. His mother is unknown, with some claiming her to be Embractus herself. From Egrarion's own anecdotes regarding his childhood, it is confirmed that he was born during Sanctity.
During the Draconic Exodus in the centuries that followed Sanctity, Egrarion remained in Tembra. His solitary lifestyle suited him well, settling in the wilderness north of Valysera. It was during this time that he met the then young ascendal Haranos the Wise.
By the time of the War for the Light, almost all the dragons had left Tembra for the lands beyond the Wastes of Kiros. Egrarion, continuing his solitude, did not interfere with the squabbles of the 'child races', whose short lifespans he viewed with a paternalistic indifference. He did, however, maintain great respect for the long-living ascendals, even once calling Haranos his friend. Still, in spite of Haranos' many requests, he did not aid in the war.
Not much is known of Egrarion following the Daybreak. Some say he joined his fellow dragons south of the Wastes, while others believe he still lives in Tembra. Most, however, see the dragons as a relic race of an age forgotten, believing Egrarion to have died with those memories.
