The Herethay Revolt
The Herethay Revolt was a popular uprising in Herethay, Arkenstead, in the mid 980s. Following years of maltreatment by the earls of Herethay, House Crayditch, violence erupted following the murder of a peasant in a village by the Crayditch heir, Corvis.
The rebels stormed Oldmere Hall, killing the earl and his sons and taking his wife and daughters prisoner. The high earl of Arkenstead, Morgan Beresitch, led a force to quash the rebellion, which now saw noble backing, but died in the attempt. His sons Gregor, Beryn, and Tristan successfully ended the rebellion in his stead.
