Wars of the Wilted Rose

The Wars of the Wilted Rose were a series of military campaigns conducted by Lord Ambrose Brawnby, high earl of Springmore, from 959 to 971. They took place in Krasterland, the root of many recent looting expeditions that had landed in Springmore. The resulting retaliation forces sent by Ambrose, at times supplemented by Richard Whitemount, were broadly successful in preventing further raids but became infamous for their strategic failures and logistical mismanagement. The wars, combined with Ambrose's inability to garner support from his vassals, were the two biggest factors in his deposition.
