Kelawen Yarahey

The Entmother

Kelawen Yarahey is the current Entmother, a mighty being who functions as a prophet of the Botanical Deities. She is one of the highest ranking leaders in the Briarhood of the Botanical Deities and she travels around, spreading the word of the Deities to the various lands of Kibitann.

Personal history

Kelawen was born inside the Stansequoia, her mother being one of the few outsiders that were permitted entrance. Since prophecy foretells that the next Entmother is always born an elf inside the Stansequoia, the child was immediately taken away by the Floraren inhabitants of the Tree. The mother resisted, but eventually came around and she now inhabits the Tree as part of its ecosystem.
Kelawen was raised by these Florarens in seclusion, being prepared for her destiny as an Entmother, the mortal who can speak with Gods.
100 years later, she emerged from the Tree, as an elf touched by Botaria's power and a receiver of His advice. Kelawen travelled to Circana, the capital of Budston and the main hub of the Briarhood. Immediately, her might was recognized as that of the Entmother and she gained the full aid of the Briarhood.
In an age where the two continents of Haidfonn and Kibitann were trying to recover from the Second Warring Era, Kelawen Yarahey tries to keep the zeal of the Kibitannian people alive whilst reassuring that the two continents remained peaceful against each other. Her predictions and peacekeeping have prevented many potential wars between the continents, and the difference between her and previous Entmothers caused the people of Kibitann to gain renewed faith in the Botanical Deities.
In 6728, the continent of Ardenan was raised by Iliphine Ardreth, the first being who found a Seedling of Manuhast. Kelawen was required to travel to this new continent to confront the person who recklessly consumed an artifact of Botaria. The battle that ensued between the two elves, both imbued with Botaria's might, in the southwest of the new continent formed a landmass which is now known as Ardenan's Approval.
After the battle ended, Kelawen returned to Budston, and remained there until the present, taking a more central approach to being a prophet.
