Ronao Empire
The Ronao Empire is a religious state ruled by Empress Dea Vasari and her Emperor-Consort Alesso Vasari. Spanning the entirety of the ancestral elven homeland, The Ronao Empire is considered holy land to the Lumari Faith, the primary religion of the elves. The capital city Vicante is considered to be one of the oldest settlements still standing in the world as well as one of the great wonders of civilization.
Structure
The Ronao Empire is traditionally a matriarchal monarchy headed by an empress. While the crown officially holds the legislative power of the empire they are highly influenced by the will of the Celestine of the Lumari Faith. The council of advisors is made up of ten ladies of the great noble houses that had once ruled over the other ten great elven states, as well as the Celestine herself. The ladies of the council of advisors are also the heads of their families and rule over their respective states within the empire.
Culture
The Ronao Empire is a very traditional and artistic nation. They tend to focus on works of great art and beauty, magic and wonder, or maintaining the history of not just their own nation but that of the world. They are generally a peaceful nation as well being slow to consider martial action and instead trying to offer diplomacy first. This is not due to a lack of ability but more to a religious belief that all beings should be allowed their place in the world and that conquering for the sake of conquering is a practice best left to the unenlightened.
On religion they tend to place a lot of importance on spirituality and the Lumari Faith in particular. The church and it's leader, the Celestine, being considered with the same respect and influence as one of the Ladies of the Ancient Houses. She even holds a seat on the council of advisors, some saying her voice is held in higher regard than anyone else. Further the Lumari Faith plays a large role in the daily lives of the people serving as the primary guide to etiquette and civility among those who live in the Ronao Empire.
Assets
Ronao is likely the most prosperous of the kingdoms if only due to it's age and the abundance of natural resources as well as focus on the arts and luxury. With time, the elven empire has learned many techniques for sustainably maintaining and utilizing the vast forests, farmlands, and rivers that make up their nation. They keep up trade alliances with other kingdoms to the best of their ability to help bolster their prosperity as well.

History
The Ronao Empire was founded with the resolution of the War of the Ten, a major conflict that saw the ten ancient elven states nearly destroy themselves in bids for power over all and control of the holy city of Vicante. A long and bloody conflict, the war was brought to an end by Celestine Zaneta Albergati who managed to appeal to the warring leaders and suggest unification under a Celestite Seraphim to whom she owed a life-debt. While there was some resistance to the idea at first, the states soon decided to heed the word of the blessed as they were shown just how much devastation they had brought to their lands and people. While many vied for the position, it was decided after a fifty year debate to crown the Celestite chosen by the Celestine. That Seraphim was Marsilia Vasari, the first Empress of Ronao, a woman who served the Lumari Faith ardently. The war had raged for ______ by the end.
After Marsilia was crowned she instated the council of advisors under the advice of her previous leader, and with the decision calmed many fears and doubts among the aristocracy of the states. In addition she began efforts to repair the damage done by the war and to unify the laws and policies of the new empire. Her reign marked the beginning of the age of rebuilding.
Following the age of rebuilding, was the age of discovery which focused on ways to make production more sustainable. Denoted by many advancements in magic and technologies related to fishing, hunting, farming, and logging. It was also known for it's restructuring and many rewrites, removals, and placements of laws to maintain a new focus on the preservation of the nation's resources and histories. The Empress, Dianora Vasari, who oversaw much of this era was well loved for her policies and support of the efforts despite the push back by traditionalists who were resistant to changing the ways they had done things for so long. Including the uprising of the Order of the Ageless, a prominent group of traditionalists at the time.
The third age of Ronao, age of enlightenment, with a renewed focus on spirituality, education, and artistic achievement. A movement that began some ______ years ago, and continues strongly to the modern day.
Military
In the matters of warfare they are well equiped if a bit behind on the technological advances in the subject that some other nations have adopted. They are especially proud of their calvary and their grand navy. Their fortifications are also nothing to be ignored, including magical walls in addition to city walls among other, primarily magical, fortification.
Religion
The Lumari Faith is the official religion of the Ronao Empire. While other religions do exist in the nation as well the Lumari Faith is by far the most common. They hold a great importance in the affairs of the citizens and have a strong influence over the policies of the nation. The Celestine, the leader of the faith, is often whispered to be second only to the Empress herself.
Agriculture & Industry
Ronao has an expansive system of farms and agricultural lands, enough so that that they are mostly self-sufficiant in terms of food based goods. In addition Ronao has put a lot of time and effort into developing sustainable techniques and methods for their massive farming opperations. Something that they are attempting to share with other nations due to their own interests in preserving history and diversity in the world.
Trade & Transport
The Ronao Empire has a relatively extensive highway system between the many great cities and territories within. These highways are the primary way in which goods are transported between areas of the empire. In addition, where applicable, goods are transported across the rivers, waterways, and coasts of the nation.
Education
The academies of Ronao are legendary in terms of magical and artistic endeavors. A fact that Ronao takes great pride in. A large emphasis being put on education, especially that of history and the magical arts the Ronao Empire prides itself on it's insistence that all citizens achieve at least a basic education.

Legislative Body
The Empress and her council of advisors determine what is necessary for the territories of the nation. The Empress is directly responsible for lawmaking on national and regional levels, and laws made without her at these levels are considered illegitimate.
Judicial Body
The Ladies of the Ancient Houses maintain the will of the crown and uphold imperial law and decree. The Ladies appoint judges from the aristocracy to oversee the courts of secular law. Religious law is overseen by the Celestine of the Lumari Faith, and her Lunarians.
Executive Body
The Knights, people of any status who have sworn themselves to the protection of the Empire, are the primary enforcers of secular law, while the Celestite Seraphim are the enforcers of religious law. The Seraphim notably answer only to the Celestine.
