Vihreä Kristalli Conservatory (v-flare kris-tah-lee Con-serve-a-tory)

The expansive library in Virkhagen, built by the Falstead Empire when they "conquered" the city.

Purpose / Function

The purpose of the Vihreä Kristalli Conservatory is to serve as a place of knowledge and learning. All are welcome to browse the shelves and exhibits.

Alterations

Somewhere around 3 BEDD, there was some noticable work done to the conservatory, yet most just found it to be more shelving. However, around -1 AEDD part of the northwest portion of the conservatory nearly burnt down. Luckily, it was put out before it could cause severe damages. However, some manuscripts were burned and temporarily the western wing of the conservatory was locked for visitors.

Architecture

Built in the traditional style of Virkhagen buildings, the Vihreä Kristalli Conservatory is an imposing structure in the town. The conservatory is only smaller than the Gladesbound Keep and has a large central stained-glass window.

Defenses

The showroom on the second floor is supposedly boobytrapped should anyone attempt to steal the artifacts from the cases. Not to mention much of Vihreä Kristalli Conservatory is made out of thick flame (and blast resistant) stone. It's nearly as well protected as Gladesbound Keep.

History

One of the first things Hans Iste wanted built after the Empire took over Virkhagen, the reason for the conservatory is a mystery to many.   Hans commissioned multiple builders for the project, and they all went missing right after completion of the project. A complete set of accurate blueprints were never officially recovered. Hans bestowed the Conservatory to his councilsmen, Elias Slyme, who acted as the head of the conservatory until his disapperance following Hans' death at the hands of Mabel Walker. He meticulously took care of everything within the convervatory to the extent that he did not allow others within its walls alone.

Tourism

Scholars and academics of all kinds flock to the conservatory, considering it is one of the foremost centers of knowledge in the world.
