Netrunner
Netrunners use a neural interface to connect to a cybermodem that in turn lets them navigate digital networks. Since their brain becomes the processor for the information, they can shape code as quickly and easily as they form thoughts. It might seem like a netrunner is fighting some black ICE by executing commands through programs, but the truth is closer to building entire subroutines on the fly. While others can do much with archaic interfaces like screens and keyboards, it's nothing compared to a netrunner's immersion.
Of course, having a direct connection to one's brain comes with disadvantages. Malicious software or other netrunners can cause power surges that risk overheating synapses. The legend of Soulkiller remains a fear that netrunners scare each other with. Good netrunners know the value of having friends to protect them while they do their thing.
