Ssh'kar

The Ssh'kar is usually found in the non populated parts of Tolen IVCapital

Reports have been heard of long multi legged animals in the mines.
It is yet to be officially confirmed if these are Ssh'kar as they scurry away when ever a light is pointed in there direction, but ever the miners are certain that it is.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Ssh'kar is a long insect and it's body consists of 26 segments. The front segment has its head on the front part with pinchers towards the back, which are long enough to reach it's mouth. Well the other 25 segments, each have a pair of legs attached to them with the hind legs being longer than the rest.
On top of the larger hind legs, is the tail which is about the size of 2 and half normal segments, which hardens at the tip where it can be quite painful if it stabs you.

Genetics and Reproduction

The female lays their eggs in a dark cook location where they are fertilised by the male.

Ecology and Habitats

These nocturnal creatures are commonly found in the undergrowth of woodland environments, but have been known to found in caves and even mines.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They are carnivores and usually eat birds, rodents and squirrel sized animals. But they have been known to go for bigger prey on occasions, especially if the prey is in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Ssh'kar has no eyes like humans, but have the ability to see the difference between light and dark. In addition the head has 2 antennae, which helps them know what is around them. 
The on there legs are thousands of sensory hairs.

Conservation Status

Have got rarer over the decades and even centuries as they and most humanoid species don't get along, to put it nicely.
