Fizzies

Fizzies are Borgalor's equivalent of our world's soft drinks, and just as popular and widely available. They were invented about a century ago to make healing potions and such more palpable for children, though over time the mixtures have usually been diluted to make them tastier to the point that most fizzie brands wouldn't count as legitimate potions anymore in certain countries if not for technicalities.
There are currently myriad different kinds of fizzies, some of which are are known throughout Borgalor such as Hex and Croco-Tears, made from honey and cane sugar, respectively, while others are only popular in certain parts of the world or among particular species, like the salmon-flavoured Salmono among

Other popular flavours include rose, mint, maple syrup, verjuice and ambergris. They are often dyed in various colours, though clear versions have become fashionable recently.
Fizzies are sold in glass bottles or -more rarely- clay jugs of different shapes and sizes, with major companies having their own distinct designs.
