The Areito "Low Tide Festival"

History

The people that observe this tradition want to remind Maroyal of their precense and hope their reverence but also performances throughout the festival will keep her wrath and natural disasters at bay.

In Bikai the day is also a celebration to their guardian Zemi Ijulo Sentinel, a strong Baracúden soldier that lead the Bikai "army" against invading forces of Sahuagin and @ada about 50 years ago. He died in the last battle and his soul was made into a Zemi in the shape of a giant statue in his likness out of rock. The Zemi stands guard in the Guardian in Golden Port and by honoring him the people of Bikai believe his spirit protects the village from outside attackers.

Observance

On the day of the year when the tide is at their very lowest the people honor the godess Maroyal because that's when the moon is furthest away.
