Personal history

Darmik was not only born into royalty but almost seemed to be made of it. From a very young age he followed his father Thammok to almost all of his meetings. While other dwarven boys were out being well dwarven boys even if Darmik had the option he never seemed to long for a normal childhood.    By his father's side or deep in study Darmik became well-liked in court fairly early on. That is not to say it came easy to the young lad. His over-welcoming and joyous nature was not always received as he started to accompany his father and his diplomats dealing with foreign relations. After a rather embarrassing display of drinking to much in front of Ospary's ambassador, his father removed him from politics and sent him to work and to study.   Thus Darmik's childhood in politics was cut short as he went to study with some of Escar's famous craftsman. He was not seen in the capital for more than 40 years as his schooling continued alongside his work. His return was sudden however upon his father taking ill after a recent sea voyage to Usnor to maintain the ever tenuous relationship.   While many expected the same joyous and fun Darmik to return a much hardned and more serious man stood in his place. Quickly stepping into his father's role Darmik, with some trouble managed to find his footing into the ruler of Escar. Upon his father's recovery, he stepped down to let his father continue his rule. The two now walked side by side making any in Escar proud of their current king and prince.    Many witnessed the charm that many were used to seeing in Darmik return after his father's return. Many contributing this to the removal of pressure from kingship. This would be important in a few years after his father was lost at sea and yet again Darmik was pushed into kingship. The new Darmik had the grace of his father in politics and knew when to be straightforward and honest, but his old childhood charm made him well-liked by all including most of the ambassadors from the nations that they traded with.
