Escar

Welcome to the frozen lands of Escar. The Dwarves here are guilt tough and wander these frozen lands with thick skin. However while their lands may be frozen their hearts far from it. Known for their great hospitality, those who visit or call Escar home can expect to work hard and be rewarded with great riches and a good night at the tavern.

Public Agenda

Escar stems from a the splitting of the dwarf nation. It not only carries the name of the original dwarf nation but works hard to maintain many of the older Dwarven traditions.

Religion

Escar is a nation built on tradition and gods. While most visitors are free to worship who they wish within reason, the Dwarves of Escar uphold these primary faiths.    Moradin - Dwarf God Of Creation: Most of the traditions and foundation of the Escar culture come from believing the dwarves came from Moradin. Most foreign diplomats studdy the history of this god before ever dealing with the dwarves of Escar.     Gond - God Of Craft: Often thought of as the brother of Moradin, Gond is another fundamental pillar of Escar's traditions.    Auril - Goddess Of Winter: Auril was a somewhat new addition to the faiths. She did not appear in Escar history books till well after the War Of Honor when Driweron became the home of Escar alone and the new nation of Usnor came into being.

Foreign Relations

Escar has decent relationships with many of the nations in Braka as they serve as mostly shippers. They having little in natural resources of their own so they have devoted what they have to provide ships for much of the rest of Braka.   Along with helping facilitating trade deals, this has earned them at least an open door to most nations. However their twin nation of Usnor and them do not interact much at all. This is due to the nations splitting from a single nation to two when traditions versus progress divided the dwarven people in two.   The nation of Drayles and Escar have no connections even in trade. While Usnor will sometimes trade with the Dragonborn nation Escar has upheld its strict no contact policy since the War Of Fire & Water.
