Byzu Mora

For eons, the land now known as Byzu Mora was a rich and diverse country living in relative peace and harmony. Eight centuries ago, portals from the Nine Hells were opened across the country and siege waylaid the people of Byzu Mora. For seven hundred long years, they lived in fear and oppression as powerful Infernal Devils ruled over them and exacted their whims, travelling freely between the Hell Portals. One hundred years ago, the portals mysteriously closed in an instant, the remaining Infernals were killed or chased away, returning to the Nine Hells or in hiding. As the common folk of Byzu Mora regained control over the land, they now live in the ruins of ancient cities, Infernal strongholds, and newly established settlements.
War-torn and battle-scarred, the land of Byzu Mora is ripe with opportunity, the promise of adventure, and full of mystery.

A large portion of the land has been permanently burned, scarred by the Infernal legions dominion. Forests have been charred to charcoal, entire ecosystems reduced to ash. Lakes have become saturated with poisonous sulfur.
For much of the Infernal occupation, the Afthonian Peninsula held off the legions of Devils and demons before finally succumbing to their seemingly limitless numbers. The once great cities and castles now lay in salvaged disrepair or complete ruin.
