The Rewylding

Born of the Rapture of the Halflings, the ideal of 'Rewylding' the Northern Wylds has become pervasive and near universal in Berylfolk and in the surround area. The concept is clear: while halfings were a normally peaceful and welcoming bunch, their transgressions against both berylfolk and monstrous humanoids in their lands are borderline unforgivable. As reparations, these disparate communities attempting to undue the damage to the Cuni should be granted reign over the abandoned halfling land in the Northern Wylds.   While an acceptable concession to many in northern Ochita, gnomes, dwarves, and half-elves see this move as heavy-handed and disrespectful to the memory of halflings. Desecration of halfling settlements and iconography is rife within this movement, often leaving nothing more than charred warrens behinds. Dragonborn are particularly wary considering their tumultuous past with their berylfolk brethren.   Settlements within the Northern Wylds have established reticent trade relations with these immigrant berylfolk packs. Ruined cities such as Kailia limit direct interaction with these groups instead preferring ratling and even orcish intermediaries when bartering.

Crest & Motto

Owning their need to conceal their lupine appearance, the Rewylding has adopted a mould found in one of the cuniculture warren of three hares forming a triquetra. Preferring to reuse what they can, the berylfolk have melted down halfling manacles and doped it with the cerulean sand of their namesake island creating their now iconic brooches. Carrying the 'Three Hare' brooch is seen as a sign of alignment to the movement.   Their motto refers to the various abandoned pipeglory and etherweed farms are choked by beautiful wildflowers that have overtaken the old halfling cashcrop.

May your weeds be wyldflowers.
