Silvery, lumincesent material, glows with inner moonlight, strands are extremely fine (fragile looking but extremely resilent)

It is a natural polypeptide that has a crystaline base to it.
Origin & Source
This yarn is actually spider silk. It is harvested from Mist Spiders in the Fiura Necropolis.
History & Usage
History
The yarn is spoken of in hushed whispers. The strength it has, combined with the magick of the Thalara makes it a substance that is held in reverence by many. It's a substance that isn't easy to obtain therefore the Thalara guard it well, use it sparingly, and charge an exorbitant price for its use.
Discovery
It was discovered in 1101 by Frontier Pathfinders, an expedition team consisting of members from the Duchy of Agria, Kingdom of Lacri, Tribes of Alet, Kingdom of Amigia, Kingdom of Vepar, and Grand Duchy of Tacia. Among the members of this group were Grand Sage Mara Ardelean and Grand Sage Traian Ardelean, two powerful Thalaras. They were able to analyse the material and found it worked well with magick.
They were the first to discover the materials healing properteries. Years after the expedition they were still studying it. Its applications when it came to magick are just about boundless. Mara Ardelean was the one who discovered that living dolls can be made from this material. It didn't take long for them to discover that living dolls made from this material have the following abilities: Shadow Dancing, Mimicking the Living, Otherworldly Agility, and Magick Duplication.
This was abhorrent to the Thalara, who did everything they could to kill the living doll. It took the death of Mara Ardelean to do so, as the material becomes tied to the Thalara who uses it magickal.
Everyday use
It is only the Thalara who use it. It's not an everyday use but it is used to heal the wounded, especially those wounded that more conventional methods are unsuccessfully. It can also be used by them to help lift heavy objects.
Refinement
It can be used in the state that it is found. It is measured to the necessary length for the magick that is being used.
Distribution
Storage
This material is sensitive. Yarn from different Mist Spider cannot be kept together. It is stored in willow wood containers in a cool area such as a cellar.
Law & Regulation
Only Thalara can use this material because one needs magickal aptitude to use it correctly.
The Thalara have prohibited the making of living dolls, and banned all knowledge of Mara Ardelean's research into this area of the material.
