Purpose / Function
This building is for people who need a room for a night or two. It's used mostly by travellers visiting Harjanta.
It's not just business men/women who use this hotel. Tourists, honeymooners, and the occasional older married couples looking for a romantic getaway.
Design
The main entry area has a desk for checking in. With a wrap around grand staircase bracketing this, there's an air of luxury. There's an upscale restuarant on the main floor with a kitchen. Rooms are large and well-furnished. There's about 10 rooms per floor for the first 5 floors. Floor 6 and 7 have 4 rooms while Floor 8 and 9 have 2. Floor 10 has one large penthouse suite.
Entries
The main entrance on the ground floor is the main entry and exit point for the building.
There are elevators that go to each floor.
Each room has a door that leads into it, which is also the main exit, allowing the guests easy access to the hallway and to the main floor.
A stairway traverses the entire building, giving entry and exit points for each floor.
On the main floor has 3 smaller doors in lobby and 2 in the restuarant for exiting in case of emergancy. These doors are unremarkable as not to draw attention to them and scary the guests.
Each room has a fire escape with a window exit. Rooms with more than one window, there may be more than one fire escape. It depends on the layout of the room.
Sensory & Appearance
What a person sees upon entering depends on what room they are entering. When first entering the hotel, one enters the lobby on the main floor one is greeted with a smiling host/hostess at the check in/check out desk of a dark wood (mahogony from Earth) that no ones has a name for but is still lovingly cared for. The floors are marble and there are flowers in various vases scattered throughout scent the air sweetly while providing a splash of color against the white walls.
Entering the restuarant, one will find the walls a dark brown, but it doesn't feel overly dark, not with the soft lighting, the candles, and the large windows that let in excellent views, no matter the time of day. There are plenty of tables, both for an intimate dinner for two and large enough for a business group. There's also a bar one can avail themselves of. Music is soft and fits for both romance and business.
Every room has a bed, bathroom, a chair, a desk, a Luminal Display (once they were available), and a snack/drink bar. This is the limit of what the first 5 floors of rooms get. As one gets to the higher levels, one gets more amenties. When one get the penthouse on the 10th floor, one gets a living room area with couches and rug, a deluxe sized bathroom, two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a dining room.

Something about this place calls to me, tells me that it is important. Harmony moves in me. I just don't know what it all means as I'm missing information. And what is this sense of waiting everyone sense when staying at this hotel?
Every description of this place that I find makes it sound beautiful. I can see it in my mind and I yearn to see it in person, more than any other place I say I wish I could see, to visit. In my mind, in my dreams, I keep coming back to it, nearly as often as my recurring dream of the Shadowsong Messenger. One of these days, I'm going to solve both dreams.
