Gerald Forester

Gerald Franklin Forester

Gerald was the furthest from a general or war commander that any of the surviving leaders of the human factions at the end of the war could possibly be, but in being so proved that the best trained for a job is not always the best person for it. While many attribute his success to luck, it cannot be overlooked that his skill as a tactician and negotiator were without equal. He led the Ongommu Tae people to victory again and again with only the barest of essentials as far as weaponry to work with, often using farming and mining implements in combat. His acumen on the battlefield was a thing to be feared as well, opting to never sit back as most leaders would, Gerald himself was always on the front line of every battle, insisting that he would never send someone to fight against a foe he would not face off against himself, garnering the respect of friend and foe alike for this quality.

Personal history

Gerald's life was a fairly simple one prior to the Blight. He was the son of a priest of Goyne and was expected to follow in his father's footsteps. Fate, it seems, had other intentions for the man. Gathering the faithful and the hard working miners and farmers, he had initially taken a strictly defensive outlook to the War of Human Attrition, though this would not last as his people began to become targets of opportunistic factions bent on destroying any and all competition for power. As the losses piled up, Gerald grew angy, and eventually lashed out in return, seeing no other option but to fight as an aggressor or be a victim, and Gerald refused to sit idly by and watch his people suffer.
