Goyne
Goyne was the firstborn son of the Antecedent Mother of All. He is portrayed as an aging man in long, multi-layered robes carrying an armload of books and wearing a large belt from which hangs a multitude of tools and pouches. He is most often painted smoking a long pipe with a studious and serious expression. He was said to be a stern god who held the keys to all knowledge and could craft even the most complex items from a mere handful of dirt. Humankind held his curiosity, as they were the most diverse and ingenuitive of races. He was always fascinated by their ambition. He was one of the primary instigators of the Blight being called down, but not out of any vindictive purpose, but rather as a matter of academic curiosity. Even he was unaware of the full scope of destruction his people had wrought, though his knowledge and involvement were pivotal in it being possible. It was his research that allowed a bridge between the arcane and the divine magics used. He was the first to leave Cairne with a whispered promise of finding a solution that would someday return their world to its former glory.
