Gifted a vision of what her people could be, the demure and humble goddess Sinufae sacrifices her sight to bring about the dream of her creation, birthing a new species into the world in an effort to radiate joy and wonder through selflessness and love.
After so much time and being finally given the chance to create unfettered, Sinufae drew deep from the well of her inspirations, seeking a vision of not what she wanted to bring into being, but what the world needed. Her meditations were met with a vision of small folk who were quick of wit, nimble of foot, and that contained the ability to love and cherish all manner of life within the world. Her heart was filled and she moved without hesitation, knowing that such a creation would require a great sacrifice on her part. Centering herself upon a small hall on the edge of the forest, the goddess cut her own eyes out, offering them and the pain that shot through her to the earth and sky to invoke her will and make her dream into reality. She knew to her own despairing chagrin that she would never be able to lay eyes upon her beloved people, nor the world she had helped to create, but the ideal that her creation would be a wellspring of gentle peace was far too important. As her blood ran down her pale form and mingled with the earth at her feet, small forms began to reach up and rise from the crimson stained ground around her, blinking in the sunlight. She could feel the warmth of her efforts radiating all around her, and she welcomed her people to her bosom and immediately began to encourage them to grow.
