Godebert the Bear

Godebert the Bear of Wherdenrhund can be called the headsman of the Northmen.

Every year all the chieftains of the tribes gather for a large council on matters concerning all the tribes, called a Raéd. As part of this Raéd disputes are settled and trade arrangements are agreed upon, among other matters. The Raéd also appoints a spokesperson who acts as chairman to the Raéd and as representative in outside matters. This person usually is a strong and charismatic leader, much respected by his peers.

That person currently is Godebert the Bear and he has been for close to two decades.

He was married to his wife Utha, who unfortunately died of blight fever a few years ago. The couple has a son, Berengert, son of Godebert, who seems to turn out as strong and prudent a leader as his father.
