The Delandre District is the where the upper class of
Azamel live their lives in comfort. It is so named after Theodor Delandre a noble and philanthropist who sought to make Azamel a trade and tourism stop. As such he built a decadent and luxurious home and invested in many of the establishments that brought fine trade or entertainment into the city.
Gated Security
Most of the district lies behind a simple 10 foot stone wall with simple gates. The district now functions almost as a gated community for those who live there, but rarely are people from outside the district denied entrance. The local guard run security on these gates and the wall and genuinely allow entrance to anyone that does not look dangerous or too disheveled. If the warning bells of the city ring this is usually the second place to fortify, surpassed by only the castle itself.
Notable Places of Business
The Tale Spinner is a book store. They primarily sell fictional stories written by both established authors of renowned and locals trying to get a start. They do trade for anything bookish that is interesting though, so one never knows what they will find there. The purveyor of the shop is a small round human woman named
Olive Fantogor.
Presia's Parlor is a shop of oddities. Everything from art pieces, clothes, trinkets, and more can be bought here.
Presia Ruffet is the founder and proprietor of the shop. She is a high-elf that thinks her tastes are the best.
The Bard's Journey is an inn.
Hamilton Stroft runs this upscale establishment that caters to travelers looking to stay-in-luxury. This lavish inn also has a diner-theater room with a large stage that hosts all manner of entertainment.
