Eizilar Khal-Duran

Backstory

first life

In his younger years Eizilar grew up without a family in the streets of Bodam City. Then later as he matured leaving the city limits to become a highwayman. He developed an affinity with the guns stolen from passing soldiers or sold on the black market from defectors. In time this affinity grew into more of a obsession with firearms. Leading him to more and more dangerous raids in the hopes of getting rare weapons or the money to buy them. Eventually he was captured by a military officer who had caught word of a prolific gunslinger terrorizing the countryside. Ambushing and killing most of his band of robbers. Captured and sentenced to death for his crimes. He was tried and hanged in front of a public audience. However two powers outside of himself decided this wasnt meant to be his fate. The rope had done its job snapping the mans neck. But in the blackness of death his soul begane to burn as he had been pulled to the Arch devil Dehrilya Lord of Oppression seeing potential in the mortal man she blessed his miind leaving the blue prints from her forge into his mind for him to interpret and spread across the world. Seeking a weapon to make worthy of his new patron the mans soul was flung back towards his mortal shell. Too the second benefactor who had decided his death would be a later date. Sansea Castegale had him strapped to a table, the bones in his neck had been healed but left the scar from the rope. tied to the table regaining consciousness in the middle of a operation to remove any existing identifying marks and to reconstruct his face. Once sedated the opperation had been finished & he had awoken in a secured hospital bed. Sansea Castegale explained she had been tasked with capturing and killing him and his gang. But had decided it was a shame to loose a man of his talents when there was good work for him too still do in the world. So his death sentence had both been served and postponed. He would still one day die in the frontlines. The man he was is now dead and gone.

military service

Day by day, month after month and eventually year after year. Eizilar survived by the skin of his teeth, sheer force of will, or just by pure luck. But he served for five years on the Ostoyan border. Serving mostly in the Andrianos mountains. Eizilar became accustomed to seeing horrors most people never consider. The Ostoyan Empire makes good use of curses, bloodmagic, and necromancy. Their forces may be small but even a squadron of them could match the sheer killing power of a entire battalion. Among the worst of the was the Incursion Retaliation Division or I.R.D squadrons of armored werewolves that would run threw camps in the middle of the night and savagely slaughter as many people as possible before defenses could be mustered to only disappear again as hordes of undead swarmed the location or sending in prisoners and civilians with blood magic curses turning them into living bombs. Coming to a head in the Vitael pass the 607th infantry was ordered to bait and draw out the necromancers of the I.R.D. However the plan seemingly worked too well. deep into the pass they where set upon by the werewolf squadrons as expected. however they werent followed by the undead that had been planned for. Instead artillery came down making the ground erupt and the mountain sides to crumble killing everyone in the pass. Eizilar survived although grievously wounded hqaving taken up a fallen officers pistol and rifle he had fought until he had run out of ammo and the barrage had mangled his body. However Dehrilya seems to have deemed these weapons worthy of her new tool. Awkening the pair of weapons as single entity and having it feast in the deluge of blood to heal Eizilar so his work may truly begin. Left barely alive he was Pulled back over the border by Luka Costa who was attempting to flee the country. Needing extended bed wrest the two stayed togther becoming friends. and where eventually shipped back to Bodam City with each other. Along with ther other new friends John Beatty, Kyrrel Dryden, & Renee Amelia-Sabinus.

Returning Home

After coming home to Bodam City. With his new weapons in hand. One of his first goals was too find a weaponsmith to work on his guns for him. Using his new friend Renee Amelia-Sabinus he was introduced to maembers of the House of the Alkahast Guard. Finding a kindered soul in Morn Ironcrag he approached her privately about working on his weapons and helping refine her work with the knowledge he had gained.

Eizilar is uncomfortable around children. Due to the fact he had seen a number of the injured or killed during his service. That had been caught in the conflict. Struggling to even look at them now.
