Luka Costa
Seeing a chance to escape the fledgling Ostoyan Empire. Luka used a artillery bombardment that cleared enough of a passage to run across the border with just the things he was able to carry. Shortly after crossing the border and seeing the sun for the first time he was quickly detained by the crusaders attempting to enter the cursed land.
During his interrogations and detainment he met and became friends with Kyrrel Dryden, John Beatty, Renee Amelia-Sabinus, and Eizilar Khal-Duran. Each with their own reason for finally leaving the cursed front line.
