Blessed origins
The original wood elves are the descendants of the disciples of St. Lorius. A Saint of the Primordial Nairobi in a time of drought and famine he set out on a pilgrimage across Glawveria planting the Green Belt. Creating droves and clans of elves to tend to the land he was bringing back too life. Nairobi blessed his followers with a stronger connection to the land creating the wood elves. The wood elves of Glawveria believe nature is sacred and do as much as they can to not disrupt it. Wood working is seen as blasphemous in their eyes and as a culture don't work or carve any wood instead using bone and stone work. However they can use wood taken from other cultures as the damage has already been done. In the same vein they are also purely carnivores even going as far as being cannibalistic as to not damage any plant life.
