Aurin Valo
Aurin Valo is one of the heads of the Eldar Pantheon and the sister of Viisas Luoda. She is the goddess of authority, truth and judgement, and is the patron goddess of the dawn elves of the Rucinaranye Principalities.
Due to her dress in many depictions being that of a warrior or paladins, she is often confused for a male figure by other cultures, especially when helmed.
Appearance
Aurin Valo is described by most elven religious texts as a woman in gleaming gold armor, a cloak trailing behind and around her like two enormous flaming wings. She wields a sword and sometimes a shield. Her skin is dark, similar to a dawn elf's - though sometimes depicted as almost coal black - hair is said to blaze gold and red like the sun her eyes gleam with the same golden light. She could also appear as a white lion with a flaming mane and golden hair or a griffon with white fur, golden and red feathers and flaming wings. In any form she is always regal in her posture and is often depicted as a commanding leader and general.Due to her dress in many depictions being that of a warrior or paladins, she is often confused for a male figure by other cultures, especially when helmed.
Artifacts
Several artifacts were crafted by the dawn elves of Rucinaranye Principalities by a legendary cleric centuries ago. These artifacts have become both tokens of the cleric's noble house and implements held by the various shrines and churches across the Principalities.
Holy Books & Codes
"Everything Her Light Touches" The holy book to Aurin Valo. It's passages spend a great deal of time discussing beliefs concerning rulership, law, and dedication to one's charges.
Codex Solaris Believed to be pinned by the dawn elves millenia ago, the Codex Solaris identifies light to be the embodiment of the preeminent force in the universe and claims the sun to be its nexus. Lost to time, the codex was believed to be blessed by Aurin Valo after its writing, granting any who wield it immense power over light and the sun. Legends are fortold of great priests, kings, queens, and heros summoning the might of the sun against their enemies.

Personal history
Aurin Valo is the mother of three other deities of the Eldar patheon: Estrae and Varkira assumedly with the god Azahar, and a third oft unnamed daughter with an unknown father. Before she was unnamed, Aurin Valo's first born daughter was her close confidant and planned successor. When her daughter's ambition proved too great and patience too thin, she thought to usurp her mother and take what she saw as was owed her. After defeating her daughter's coop, Aurin was forced to judge her actions. For the act of sedition and treason against her mother, Aurin Valo banished her daughter from her sight, into the dark. Her daughter, the Lost Child, is known to still live, plotting revenge for what she mistakes as unjust punishment, and after their own banishment into the Underworld, the drow have taken her as their patron goddess.
After learning of their half-sister, the twins Estrae and Varkira are said to question their mother's judgement in their own ways. Estrae, against her mother's wishes, searches for her half-sister in the hope to bring her back into the family, seeking to find redemption and a place on the surface for her lost sibling and those who serve her. Varkira, however has taken to be the more rebellious of the two, actively spurning his mother's edicts yet holding to her righteous virtues. Varkira has not yet done anything so bold as to elicit the same wrath Aurin's first daughter wrought.
