Axiom

Axiom is the plane of all elements, from the turbulent winds of the plane of air to the erupting stone ground of the plane of earth, the endless oceans of the plane of water to the burning deserts and rivers of molten rock of the plane of fire. It is from here that elementals come and here that the remaining primordials are locked away.
The inhabitants are much as expected, elementals of each type exist within their home realms. Dragons of each element as well as those metallic and chromatic of the Material have also been recorded to have taken homes within their preferred elemental plane.
Axiom is ruled by the four major elemental lords who reside over their own domains and make plays at conquering their neighbor domains. These lords of the elements are the greatest of the primordials, still alive from the time of creation, they are: Ishum, Shah of Flame and Smoke; Varuna, Mahārāja of Ice and Tide; Tuuletar, Grand Duchess of Storm and Gale; Kishar, Mother of Earth and Stone. The wars between the elements rage as each of the lords attempt to claim the central region of Axiom, the Quintecent Throne, where the First One Maulik of the Primal Forces once sat when they ruled over all elemental realms before their defeat.

Aag, Domain of Fire

Aag is a domain least habitable to most inhabitants of the Mortal Plane, with seas of fire and molten rock flowing through the realm of fire, even the temperature of this domain is oppressive to those without the immunities of those who live within it. Storms rage in the sky above as the domain of air borders the skies and fields of searing steam form between the sea of fire and water. Primordials of fire rule their own realms within this domain while their father Ishum rules the domain as a whole with the fury and passion of their birthright. Fire giants, efreeti, azer, elementals of magma and fire, and other elemental creatures of fire such as dragons, firebirds, and salamanders roam the fiery seas and molten fields of this domain eager for war with the other domains and conquering of other planes.

Alloy, the City of Brass

Among the cities of Axiom, Alloy, commonly known as the City of Brass, is the most visited location by mortals and other extra-planar beings. It is the capital of the Domain of Fire, an expansive city of high towers and broad streets inhabited by many denizens of the elemental plane and ruled by the Efreet. Many travel from other planes to do trade with the efreet and other travelers, but those who decide to travel here must show no weakness else they be taken as slaves by the efreet of the city much as the Azer have been. But, those visitors who can convince the efreet that they are not to be trifled with, or acquire an official status such as trader or diplomat, have access to the grandest markets that the Plane of Fire, and some even say the universe, has to offer.

Parvat, Domain of Earth

The domain of earth exists primarily underground in deep, winding, mazelike tunnels of crystal, gemstone, metal, and rock that shift, break and reform into new passages. While the domain of fire may be the most inhospitable environment to mortals, the shifting caverns of Parvat are far from welcoming to any who do not hold kinship with the earth. Burrowing, tunneling creatures thrive in the darkness of the earthen tunnels collecting the gems and stones that grow there for food or pleasure. Above the deep caverns, the domain of earth reaches high into the skies of Axiom, piercing the skies of Hava and encroaching on the realms of water and fire. While the tunnels of Parvat may seem a chaotic place, it moves only by the will of its ruler Kishar, the Earth-mother, whose actions remain methodical, careful, and orderly until angered.

Glitra

The capital of the Domain of Earth is an enormous cavern filled with gems and crystals, like the inside of a geode, grown into majestic towers and buildings. Beautiful as it may be, woe comes to those who think themselves able to make quick gold by taking even the smallest gem from the walls of their sacred city.

Lahar, Domain of Water

The Endless Ocean of Lahar consists of - as the name suggests - an enormous, impossibly deep ocean full of an immense amount of sea life, both common and strange. The far reaches of Lahar hold the realms of fog, steam, and ice, where the sea still spreads even beneath the miles of ice that form the ground. Leviathans of incredible size roam the waters, feeding on its denizens and hunting any who stray too far from the safety of their cities or into the domain from other realms. This domain is ruled by Varuna, primal god of water, who views the various enormous aquatic and elemental creatures that inhabit their realm as their prized pets rather than children, angered deeply when they are harmed or killed.

Nacre

The capital of the Domain of Water resides at the deepest point in the Endless Ocean and is ruled by the Marid of that plane. Nacre, the Pearl City is a city of opalescent colors and giant coral structures in the bottom of a great ravine. Due to the pressure, lack of air, and darkness it is rare to find any mortal visitors or inhabitants. Those who do visit find the marid to be less than hospitable.

Hava, Domain of Air

Hava expands above the plane of Axiom and into the skies where fractured pieces of Parvat float in islands above the clouds. Storms rage and winds blow in this realm as a constant, and great castles rise above the clouds upon which they are built. Hava is home to cloud giants, storm and wind elementals, and creatures of the air for there is little land for any others to step upon. Tuuletar rules this domain, but her children, the Four Winds, rebel and compete for the right to rule the domain, carving out their own domains within the realm and at its borders.

The Quintecent Throne

At the center of Axiom, where all elements meet, is the source of the conflict between the elemental lords, the Quintecent Throne. Since the fall of the chief primordial during the first war between the gods over creation, there has ever been a power struggle for the throne of Axiom with all the elemental lords at a standstill.
