Boreaheim
The citadel of Boreaheim would be categorized as a large city in terms of size, but somewhere between a large town to a small city in terms of population. Giants in service to Boreas, the North Wind either live or make regular trips here to pay respects to their god. Once the seat of Boreas' power in the Mortal Plane, the Tower of the North Wind sits at the center of this settlement, raising into the air hundreds of feet like an upside-down icicle. Within this structure is housed the avatar form of Boreas, sealed in ice, from before he was banished from the world millennia ago.
The citadel is built for function rather than trade or tourism, having no inns - though a number of mead halls - or shops to speak of. Few tradespeople live within the settlement as it's not seen as an honorable trade - though it is secretly acknowledged to be necessary. The buildings are built from ice and stone of the mountain and burrow into the peak in large chambers.
In the year 846 AoM, Boreas made their presence known within their old citadel as a group of mortals seemed to make a deal with the giants, working alongside them. Since this has occurred, storms of snow and ice have blanketed the northern region of Binordheim, moving south, extending winter months after its normal end. The frost giants grew more hostile, rallying other frost giant communities and ice trolls to their cause as they seem convinced of their lord's return from his banishment into the realm of Jotunheim all those millennia ago. Mortals and giantkin who serve boreas began to infuse themselves with energy, becoming vessels for Boreas' will and power as the winter grew longer into the summer months and the snow and ice began to be joined by thunder and lightning - a strangeness uncommon to Boreas' normal mastery of wind and cold.
The giants work now to make ready for their lord by collecting gifts and conquering what lands they can before his arrival.

Demographics
While the other creatures that inhabit the citadel of Boreas outnumber the frost giants, they make up the largest presence based entirely on size and authority. Other creatures that live here serve the frost giants. A mix of mortals of many ancestries, mostly consisting of goliaths and outcast Nordic people make up the majority of numbers within the population followed by yetis (which are used by the giants as servants or food), ice trolls, and some rock trolls.
Pets kept by these frost giants include remorhazs, elemental polar bears, and other denizens of the frozen tundra and mountains.
Government
In the absence of Boreas, the giants here govern in a similar way to the nordic people of the rest of Binordheim, with a Jarl at the head of the government and a shaman as a guiding voice to the will of Boreas.
Defences
The location of this fortress is its greatest defense as it sits atop a high peak with little to no foot paths visible that lead to it.
Points of interest
Tower of the North Wind. The smooth, ice spire in the center of the citadel is the focal point of the settlement. The former seat of the North Wind and the place in which his physical form resides, waiting for his return to cover the land in ice once more.
Natural Resources
Iron, stone, and elemental ice are found here, but the frost giants rarely craft, instead trading them to wandering cloud giants and other species that create weapons and armor in trade.
