Erlking

The king of the Summer Court of Faerie, the Erlking is no true say in the leadership of the court, much like his Winter counterpart Keskivaldi, but he is afforded great respect within the court nonetheless. The Erlking is the embodiment of the darker side of the Summer fae. He is a creature of war, savagery, battle, and merriment and spends much of his time feasting in his hall alongside his fae goblinoid subjects when not hunting.

It is assumed that goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears originated from the halls of the Erlking and were lost on the Mortal Plane during a hunt when the connection to realm of Faerie was severed. Though many now serve darker gods and demon lords, some still find their way back to serving the Erlking in spirit if not directly.
