Outsiders

Outsiders are beings of the Void, the place outside the universe as a whole where creatures like Old Gods reside. The only known way for them to enter is through the Outer Gate at the edge of Creation. It is believed that many aberrations descended from, are, or were created through the influence of outsiders themselves such as Illithid and Beholderkin. Little is know of Outsiders as a whole or the Outside. Only those who study magic usually come across text about their existence. The few things that are known determine that as they are not of this universe things of this universe have far less effectiveness on them such as magic and mortal weaponry.

Walkers

If Outsiders were the foot soldiers in an army, Walkers would be their leaders. Though such organization amongst the creatures is unlikely as chaotic as they are, it speaks to their power. These creatures are very few and powerful and are said to be agents of the will of great powers beyond reality such as Old Gods. The very few that might have been referenced in histories have been harbingers of ruin, leaving chaos and destruction wherever they go with those who defeated them being written as great heroes or martyrs who banished evil from the world. In contradiction to some of those stories, whether it is possible to kill a Walker is a subject some scholars debate.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The anatomy of Outsiders rarely makes sense. Some may form into mostly humanoid or bestial shapes, but others may take the form of writhing tendrils or masses of limbs, a mass of hungry maws or maddened eyes.
