Evelyn Suthmeer

Human, Captain of the ???. This is her first command.
Raised on Earth, she rebelled against her scientific upbringing. After leaving her family behind, she entered the Command track at the Academy. An experience officer, major career events include being lauded by an alien culture and being a part of a first contact situation.
She is lauded by the Cardassians for her assistance after they were nearly wiped out at the end of the Dominion War. She did ??? and it saved a lot of people. So she's not necessarily like #1 ally, but this particular segment of Cardassians really like her and I will name one of them in the future. Definitely has contacts she can turn to.
She was also part of First Contact with the Gatrelix. The Trill in particular were aware of them before. The Gatrelix had been encountered before, but she was on the ship that formally introduced them to the galaxy at large, and was even able to bond with some of the adolescents on the diplomatic side of it, being a newly minted ensign at the time.
On the whole, she is someone with an extensive scientific background that she has largely moved away from due to personal reasons. She is not always the most controlled individual, but she believes passionately in justice and honesty and the value of life.
She is on the short side for a human, Asian ancestry, with dark hair and fair skin. Her eyes are a lighter brown.
