Rekha Sirasikar
Human female, Commander rank, Science Officer and also Second Officer so in charge of Gamma shift usually. She has a bit of history with Captain Evelyn Suthmeer in that Evelyn continually overshadowed her at the academy, to her mind. Rekha wasn't someone the captain even noticed back then because she wasn't interested in that kind of rivalry.
She's not actively looking to sabotage, but she's not there to make friends and she will go around the captain whenever she gets a chance. She's very smart and she knows it, and she's fairly charismatic so she's good at making people pay attention to her. She's the onboard antagonist, mainly to the captain, but also peripherally to the people on her shift because she's not a very nice person. She'll probably also dislike the players because they came on with the captain and she already kind of trusts them.
But she's also set up as being kind of an expert on time-space phenomena, which is going to come in handy sooner or later.
A bit of a slow, sinuous voice with a touch of a British accent so I can tell her apart. She's pretty, with long dark brown hair, and an Indian heritage in her tanned skin.
