Raijun's Report - Beholden Crossing

General Summary

Note: As the normal note taker was away this recap was given by Raijun to Myra after the fact.
In this saga of Wardens of the Weave, the night has arrived, and Hagren goes to speak with Miss Carter and asks her about her “argument” with Raijun.   She said he had played a cruel joke, that he “Fancies himself a hero”. Hagren apologizes saying “he doesn’t know what he’s on about” and pries further. Hagren says “he’s just hiding his own feelings through stupidity” and apologizes again. Says that “someone has to look out for people because of his antics."
Hagren indicates the Adama incident was an accident, he has “pain that he doesn't know how to relieve”. Says he appreciates how she stays with them. She says it’s just a step in the general direction. They talk about Thompson and how he’s a merchant, Hagren tries to pry into his endeavors. Hagren says he desires to have a ship like Thompsons, and says he hopes they don't have to be competitors in the future.
She becomes curious about Hagren’s new business, and mentions that there are certain regions that could work well, and in fact adds her own spin on a proper plan. They talk for a while about specifics.... I kinda zoned out but they were talking about employee count ... but Hagren's definitely fleshing out his dream boat.
Carter mentioned something about somewhere that you can buy a vessel and customize it to the theme of the ship you want. Hagren asks where this ship would be sold, and she says the port of Dralfamar (Drel'Themar ) or something like that. Up on the southern coast of Glemios, and mentions Captain Allister Johnsten is from there. Oh shit and Kolis-Tane  is where you are from!
The rest of the gang starts to share drinks and talk shop, about how they’ve enjoyed themselves and are having a good time. They talk about potential scrolls to target, and Tintreach mentions he wants to find the evocation scroll, and Gwen turns the conversation to visiting Kolis-tane to potentially see Kymil again, and the crew reminisces about Kymil for a minute and then talks about how it’s been a few months together as a group.
Adama mentions all his fun moments with the team and all the times that they spent together. They talked about the various fun moments, and Adama seems to be getting along with Raijun, making jokes about getting kicked and laughing. They talked about who they trust, and the group quickly came to the conclusion they totally preferred the queen, but there was value in continuing to play both sides with Thirsten Thompson VII and Queen Angelena. They then talked about how it was good to have aired out their issues.
Raijun then asks Tintreach if anything's chasing him as a joke, and we realized that Tintreach had a beef with Aboleths, said he was tricked by people pretending to be his friend to work for them, and they hurt people, so he shot a few lightning bolts at them and ran way. Both Raijun and Tintreach agreed that its better to run off to fight another day and reload with friends and new training before you come back to fight another day.
The day breaks, and Hagren approaches the captains door, and right as he does, he overhears the captain saying “ I will not have another incident like that, and if I see one more sign, we will make alternate plans...”
She denies saying this when Hagren approaches her, and Hagren mentions the Drel'Themar, referring to the shipyard. She says she has not been home in some time, but says the shipyard should still be there. Hagren asks if ships are still being built over there, and she says “of course, it’s the main form of travel, and ships always need to be commissioned for one noble or another.” They talked about ships being built, and mentions cheaper side, there’s a less dubious port to the west that might be a better option (Stranglevine Cove ).
Gwen goes off to go find Ingrid , the woman she had been speaking with before, offering her a hand with some of her work, the food prep for the ship. Ingrid mentions she didnt come here just to help, so why was Gwen over here? Gwen mentions she wants to learn more about how to help out on the ship. They get on the topic of Astronomy and how it can be valuable, but Ingrid admits she doesn’t know much, but agrees to help her. Gwen comments she thought the meteor shower was beautiful, but Íngrid says “history will tell us it’s not very good when things fall out of the sky”
Raijun went up to Miss Carter, determined to apologize. Ms carter was initially abrasive, but Raijun came out and said he was just trying to offer her the chance to work on the Warden’s brand if she ever wanted too, admitting he could use the help. She smiled and then said thank you for apologizing. Then Raijun said thanks for listening, and he’s glad they could work it out, and as a peace offering, brings her a new notebook he had asked Myra to transmute while she was downstairs doing her research. He rolls a nat 20 on the charisma save Mike makes me roll, and Ms. Carter touches Raijuns hand and blushes, saying it was a thoughtful gift.
Hagren sends Trenchcoat to go spy on the captains office, rolls a nat 1 and then is stopped by the captains aid (Inxosa ), who gives him a pear and sends him on his way, saying he doesn''t want him to get hurt.
The next day, they run into a trader that offers them an assortment of items, like a chainmail shirt that had some sort of insurance policy for dying, and the ring that could make smells, and a vial of vampires blood that can rejuvenate people’s age and spirit. They get the feeling that this elvish trader is trying to swindle them, so Adama digs into what she is saying. They talk for a while but don't end up buying anything. They leave, and we suspect them to be robbers of some kind, but have no proof despite very high perception rolls.
At night, Raijun tries to hit up the Raven Queen about the terms of his deal, and she leaves him on seen, He tries again and she comes to him in a small vision, stating that the terms is simply for him to land on his feet, and pursue the threads of fate yet to be written.
Afterwards, Adama is stopped and the captain's aid sets him aside, and suggests that their group find ulterior travel arrangements after they arrive. Adama said they will probably part ways, and then asks them if Thompson owns the ship, or the captain does.
Ingrid then goes to find Gwen, explaining the entire crew is having nightmares, ”about a dark river and flowing, that they cant move. Theres liquid around me, I can breathe, but I shouldn’t, and this creature made of metal staring at me from behind a glass, and then I was on the ship.“
Gwen says that they should mention it to the rest of the crew, and that she wants to help, but mentions the damage may already be done with the crew. Gwen stresses she cares about Ingrid, and goes to find Adama to help her confront the captain.
As they as doing that, Tintreach asks Raijun about doing the dance, and then mentions it would be cool if the dance had a back flip, and so Raijun agrees and does the flip...and then Tintreach rolls a nat 20 and does a beautiful magnificent dragon flip, and leaves Raijun speechless, and pumped he has a new member for the dance. Myra’s next (she nodded along as he said this as if he has a chance)!
Conversations with the captain don't go far, and she gets mad bc they accuse us of doing this, saying Raijun and Adama caused this, and that they died, and its on our hands if something else happens, she will toss us overboard. Honestly I kinda spaced again but Adama threatened vaguely and talked about death again for a while and we went above deck.
I zoned out a bit again but I think Hagren had Trenchcoat go downstairs to like steal food or something? Wasn’t really sure. Adama sees a shark, so sends Hedwig to investigate, and she can see that their is another shark as well, and then senses even more movement under the ship, which reaches for Adama, and we enter into a naval battle with some weird sea creatures who seem to control sharks.
Then some fish monster people who looked like Davy jones from pirates of the Caribbean but with 4 arms show up, and they yeeted Gwen off the side of the boat! But she managed to make the dex save and avoid the sharks. They are called Sahuagains or something like that. They have a priestess who casts spells. Hagren, Inoxsa & Trenchcoat rolled 3 nat 1s on wisdom saves and half the team is held in place. Gwen then rolls a nat 1 and falls in the shark infested water. But she gets out and your boy rolls some phat criticals on attacks.
We drive back the fish people and then you decide to grace us with Myra's presence after an extended leave, asking what trouble we caused
