The Mille Fair

The Mille Fair is a celebration that takes place in the city of the same name, the capital of the Central Islands Federation. It marks the anniversary of the Mille Agreement, the occasion in which all Supernaturals agreed to let humans rule over them in an attempt to put an end to centuries of endless war and bloodshed.   (It made sense at the time. Humans were relatively powerless, so they kept out of the way of their more powerful neighbours, and thus came to be seen as calm and level-headed. The impression didn't last more than a century or so, though, as humans finally showed they were just as power-hungry as their Supernatural counterparts.)   The Mille Fair attracts human visitors from all parts of the world. It evolved from a one-day remembrance event to a one-week-stalls-and-camping extravaganza. The town square becomes a camping ground for tents offering food or lessons in "Supernatural" skills (or at least the human understanding of said skills). Things like fencing, archery, and shooting are also popular with the crowds.   Visitors to the Mille Fair are encouraged to dress up as a Supernatural. Werewolves and Vampires are the most common costumes, though actual vampires and werewolves tend to think humans get too caught up in wrong stereotypes and never really make a fair representation of the real thing. A few have attempted to protest against what they deem a "mockery" of their lives, but since Supernaturals are still relatively rare in the Central Islands Federation, they didn't get very far.   If you are human, by all means enjoy what the week has to offer. If you're not... what are you doing in the Central Islands Federation anyway?
