The War of the Rivers was fought between the tribes living around the Samara River and the tribes living around the Quioté River. In 1020, half of the Quioté River tribes, the southern tribes, signed a peace treaty with the Samara River Tribes. The war lasted almost fourteen years but finally ended when the inland Quioté River tribes were conquered by the Samara River tribes.

As the war had gone on one of the tribes the Isendree became more and more powerful, until in 1617 when peace was made with the Costal Quiotés the Cheif of the Isendreens became the leader of the Samara Tribes. Although a few of the Samara tribes did not like this take over, the Inendreen Cheif, Cheif Bhaltair, pacified them by inviting their chiefs to keep up regular communications with him and to help advise him in his most important and difficult decision. This take over created the first Isndreen state.
