The Massacure of the Chiefs

Life, Crime

At his wedding, King Faolán murdered all of the chiefs from the tribes his father had been allied with and the unconquered Quioté tribes. Once they and their heirs were dead, Faolán declared himself lord over them all.

Months after his coronation King Faolán invited all of the chiefs of the Samara River Tribes, the remains chiefs of the coastal Quioté River Tribes and their families to celebrate his marriage to the daughter of the Cheif Allerick, the chief of the largest of the Quioté tribes, but it was a trick. After dinner when many of the chiefs were drunk and unaware of what was happening, Faolán signaled his guards, who in turn killed all of the chiefs and their sons, with the exception of his father-in-law, who had no sons and whose line would continue through Faolán's son. At the same time, his soldiers across the region set up military bases and took up whatever government the chief had left behind.
