May I first extend my deepest gratitude for your acceptance of this letter. I am rather delighted to be writing to you on this fine day, while it may be well in advance of what is needed, I am still filled with a sense of excitement I have not felt since my younger years.
To encapsulate this letter, I am inviting you to a New Years celebration and dinner party at my Californian Estate. You shall be joined with other hand selected guests who were chosen for the same reason as yourself: What does it truly mean to be American?
Recently I have grown tired of the idle prater and droning on of my colleagues. In an attempt to settle an ongoing dispute between us all, we’ve made a bet on who would be able to find the core of that so sought after American ideal and dream for the future the fastest. I believe that the only correct way to find such an answer is to look to the common man more so than what the elite of this new society has to offer.
That is where you come my new friend. Consider this party me hosting an event to discover the answer to that exact question. Along with yourself, I have invited other I think perfectly exemplify what it means to be American. Due to the nature of this event and the fact I would very much like for you to attend, I have sent this letter early in hopes it you can make the necessary preparations and travel accommodations needed in a timely manner.
All financial strains and expenses shall be reimbursed upon your arrival, but do reach out if compensation is needed before hand.
With Appreciation and Adoration,
Lord Cecil Rowley
