Kitsune
Kitsune were at one time fey creatures, that exclusively lived within a giant forest in the First World. These Kitsune had no idea how they came into being or how they arrived in their forest, however they knew they had to survive. After several generations, they had a thriving community, but they wanted to know what was beyond the forest, but they wouldn’t dare travel too far, for fear of stories of old. An old tale told of a king who banished them to the forest, saying if they ever left, they would incur the wrath of the Archfey. Eventually a human looking woman came to them, the first person to appear that was not of their kind. She fed them stories of how wonderful the world beyond the forest was, and convinced the Kitsune to leave the forest. As they all departed, they were struck by a shadowy night, and were dropped across the Material Plane. Losing their home, the Kitsune began to curse the woman who convinced them to leave their home, and began searching for something they could do in this new place.
