Northern Armidian

The people from the Northern parts of the Armidian Empire are hardy, stout people with a strong history of sailing and fighting. They are simpler folk than southerners and are adapted to the harsher, cold climates of the north. Their fighting styles favour one handed weapons with a shield, and they make great shock troopers but generally lack the discipline for more organised formations. Northern Armidians take pride in their survivalist heritage and consider their southern kin to be weak-wristed and overly domesticated. Northern Armdiains are easily identified by their paler skin and lighter hair colours, the men also tend to favour long braided beards similar to the Dwarven style.
