Alchemists are not Magi, though many believe them to be. They create elixirs, toxins, and bombs, using components ranging from the benign to the utterly rare and magical.

Qualifications

Many alchemists attend universities in order to refine their craft, such as Moonwall University. 
Others are self-taught, or learn from mentors who may or may not be mad.

Perception

Social Status

Alchemists are typically viewed as more dangerous than more established Magi types, due to the volatility of the compounds with which they work.
