The Royal Court of Dyrecinder

Territories

Dyrecinder consists of twenty-one principalities or provinces. Each of these has a governing Baron, Count, or Duke (or Order, in the case of Patience). There were twenty-two provinces until Ember Province seceded from the Kingdom in 810 AI. Defying the advice of her courtiers and council, Queen Cordelia decided not to take up arms. Tensions between the citizens of Ember and the rest of the Kingdom remain high.

Military

The authority of the Cinder Crown is enforced by six military Orders, the navy, and fourteen Royal Houses each with a number of loyal bannermen.

Foreign Relations

Dyrecinder has had tenuous relations with its neighbors. However, since the ascension of Queen Cordelia, an unsteady peace has reigned. Uneasy neighbors have become eager trade partners, offering open border trade and travel. The only sovereign state that Dyrecinder is still technically at war with is Glisterwald - it is a cold war, both sides waiting for the other to make the first move.
