Personal history

It is said that Mystra was born to her mother of magic. There were no deities or the like involved in her conception. Her mother was the Arch Mistress of the Collage of the Arcane (now disbanded). It was clear from a young age that Mystra was no ordinary mortal. She could change shape at will (not unlike the Druidic wild shape, but her transformations weren't limited to beasts). She could transform herself into magical energy.

Not much is know about her life or the circumstances of her mortal death (mysteries are, after all, one of her domains), but it is known that her divine form grants power to sorcerers and wizards alike. She is also credited for creating the Gnomish race, but this has been disproved. What is known, however, is that Mystra often aids inventors and tinkerers by implanting schematics and ideas into their subconscious minds.
