A former investigator in Waterdeep, Caraway took all his hard-earned gold and opened an inn and tavern in the up-and-coming trade town of Ryestead. The Briar Rose, the inn, is named after a noble woman who he was in love with. She could not marry someone below her station and her father forced her to marry one of the masked lords. Part of his reason for retiring is to escape this pain. Tiberius has seen many things and knows many secrets. He has brought many villains to justice – therefore some adventurers seek him out.
