Three Nations

The roots of our culture were forged nearly two thousand years ago in the ancient period and the first city. It is the origin of writing and mathematics. The first recorded history and tracking of time were from the Three Nations. Much of what made up the peoples and ideas has been lost to Kwee, in the Days of Wrath and Darkness that destroyed the city and the Hall of Records, and following wars and time. The Three Nations city was built by a union of the Mountain, Plains and Forest tribes. It is in the Three Nations city that The Three Paths and the five Pillars became most settled in the Taurien culture. It is also where we learned the deciet of the Gods, and hazard of the Dark Path that brought ruin upon the Three Nations.

The Three Nations of Plains, Mountain, and Forest Centaurs tribes made up the settlement that became the city. No other name, except "Three Nations" is known for the city, and most records were lost in the Days of Wrath and Darkness where followers of the Darkness paths of Deceivers, Wrath and Keepers of Secrets, spurred on by factions following the various Gods sought to destroy, control, acquire and hold dominion over all of the city and fought each other and the Virtue Pillar followers.

Culture and cultural heritage

The school of Reasoners, the school of Pleasure and the school of Inspiration were founded here. In the Three Nations city writing was founded- first tallies recorded in clay then a series of icons that came to represent words. Over the few hundred years of the Thre Nations city's existence this was formalized and settled into a written script. Writing spread to migratory tribes that traded with the city.

The followers of Omil Yehi brought the Three Paths and the Five Pillars to the city and taught the principles of Honor path, Glory Path , and Darkness. At this time Darkness was recognized as a integral part of all and not purely a force of evil. It was believed that Darkness was to be used against enemies of the Centaurs. The Pillars of Virtues and the Vices were recognized.

The Gods of the The Followers of the Book of Raervan, traditions of the Dreaming Tree were worshipped and became the primary focuses with Temples and shrines to each. There was also a god of War and one of Reason.

The Three Nations city was destroyed in the Days of Wrath and Darkness. The causes are laid to the followers of the Gods becoming enthralled in their vices, espousing their own God as the "one true path" and falling to the Darkness path. The halls of records were destroyed. The wells poisoned. Riots and killing swept the city as various factions sought dominion, wealth and rulership. Survivors and evacuees carried some of the stories, lore and knowledge from the city and some had survived in the hands of non settled migratory centaur tribes.
