Piper Hollowpot was always seen by the forges in the northern lands of the Kingdom of Wynn. Although it was thought that it was just to keep warm, it was later found out that she had an unhealthy obsession with crafting. She spent many years watching and learning the craft until one of the many smiths that saw her started to have her help around the forges. Years later she was crafting nails and other simple ironworks, and yet was still not allowed to work on the more complex goods. After being caught working the forge late at night she was told that if she didn't leave town that she'd be turned in to the local law. This forced her to sell most of her goods and hired herself out as a caravan guard until she reached the Shogunate where she acquired a seat on the next ship to Scylla.
