To the south of Euetcha and Cuerero lies the large, harsh and dry Areatus Mountains. Within it lies the highest point in of the continent, Mt. Pilamurta. Despite is desolation and lack of people, there are many species that lurk, including the tusked Ozafe.

Supersitions

Many supersitions surround the Areatus Mountains, some claiming it is where Duhaum resides in while partaking in her new duty as guide of the dead. Some claim too that it is the entrance to The Spirit's Realm, and that the mountains are where Spirits are both most active as well as prevealant.

Tourism

Yet, despite all the superstion and the beleif it is haunted, the mountains are known too for their silence and desolation. So those in the waining stages of their lives tend to travel southwards in order to retire despite the heat. Some go for the quiet, some go to attain enlightment. After all, the mountains are seen to be Duhaum's personal lair, a mythological reason for it to be so dry and warm.

Some academics use the mountain range as a getaway to retire to when they wish to be undistracted from reasarching. However, this is only avaliable, as is most tourism to the richer scholar and man.
