The Madam of a brothel is both a benevolent and malevolent figure depending on the temperment of the lady with such a title. But they have one thing in mind normally, to make a profit. After all, behind the aesthetics and stigma, they are truly business owners - their comodity being the bodies of those who are in their employ.

Her qualifications are non exsistent, there is nothing concrete. Sometimes it is elected, sometimes it is merely bought on her prowess or ability to make a profit for the brothel. Or sometimes it is merely the past Madam declaring a sucsessor. But there is one thing that is a quasi qualifcation: experience.

The Madam is usually a woman in her later years, by a prostitute's standards, somewhat greying. Her freedoms are vast comparative to the women of the brothel beneath her. Normally, she'd have little clients due to her status, so she was not limited to work-based persuits.

The madams of brothels are normally the women known to even small slithers of society, her status leading her to cilents of the wealthy and the powerful, such as the rivals Haydée Shashe and Araceli Dzùts. Whether that is a benifit or a pitfall of the job, as the Venaevi still hunt for underground operations, is dependent upon the woman.

Another benifit is money, her profit was most of that of her woman. The madam is lucky in that she gets up to 90% the profit of a woman's services, although sometimes it is more (up to 97%), sometimes less (down to 40%) depending on the madam's kindness. Most average to somewhere in the range of 65%.
